Boxer - Workflow
Folded Carton Arrangement for Boxing
Boxer is a software program designed to calculate the most suitable outer box size for packing in a simple and easy way, based on the dimensions and weight of folded packages.
Boxer assists the user with tasks which usually require a lot of time and know-how, from choosing the most suitable outer box from company stock,
to calculating optimized dimensions for an external box, to comparing efficiency between existing and exclusive outer boxes.
Below is Boxer’s Simulation Flow, Step by Step.
Select a one-up’s pattern and input the dimensions and material. Boxer will calculate the outside dimensions, area, and weight automatically. The simulation starts here.
Set the packing conditions, such as weight constraints, the number of sheets per box, and margin space inside the box. Create a project after adding information from the client, the name of the product, and quantity. Then, run the simulation. The project information you entered here will be used for making a report later.
Simulation for Stock Outer Boxes
Simulation for outer boxes in stock. By registering boxes currently in your company's stock, Boxer instantly shows the outer boxes which have high occupancy rate of contents.
Simulation for Exclusive Outer Boxes
If you want to produce a new exclusive outer box, Boxer can calculate the optimal size by adding the material information of the outer box.
The project details and calculation results will be saved in a database and can be shared.
Compare the Cost of Boxes in Stock and Exclusive Boxes
You can compare the cost efficiency with the calculations of general and exclusive outer boxes.
Boxer can output the simulation report as EXCEL data which includes the packing image.
On-Demand Production of Outer Boxes with CaseBuilder + Kongsberg
Boxer can be linked with CaseBuilder, the solution for short-run on-demand production, along with a Kongsberg cutting machine to create an on-demand production system for outer boxes.
Calculated size data with Boxer is exported to CaseBuilder to generate the outer box CAD data automatically.
The generated CAD data is then exported to the Kongsberg table and starts processing. This allows you to create a direct production environment
through Boxer without needing to create a CAD design.
Boxer Simulation Results Can Be Linked and Coordinated with Other Software Solutions.
CAPE PACK: Corrugated Case Loading Simulation
Boxer can link with loading simulation software CAPE PACK. The pallet loading of outer boxes can be simulated by linking the size and weight information from Boxer's simulation results.
PiCSYS: Management Information System for Printed Packaging
Boxer can interact with PiCSYS. By linking the outer box size, material, price and packing instructions calculated by Boxer's simulations,
Boxer will help you to proceed with a seamless order and instructions for production.
